Elizabeth Gilbert’s words echoed in my mind as I finished watching her sensationally thought-provoking (and sensationally short!) TED talk.
It was painful “medicine.” But I guess the patient needed it. Until that point, I have been fighting with depressive states, possibly the first identity crisis, and not knowing what to do with myself.
“What is it that I love more than myself?” I asked myself. After all, I love myself very much. Some might say too much: my 22-year-old ego is known for going out of control on more than one occasion.
There must be a “home” for me somewhere. And according to Elizabeth Gilbert, when you’re lost, all you need to do is return to it…
